Parents will have the opportunity to learn about the modern, progressive
methods of coaching football including certification programs through Virtua
Health and USA Football that have changed the game and made it safer. Our
focus is on player safety, a focus that is unparalleled in any other local sports
program. Both our football and cheer programs provide a safe and positive
experience that develops lifelong skills including leadership, teamwork, discipline
and encourages social interaction by both children and parents. Our goal is not
to produce good players and cheerleaders but great young men and women.
 Future Player’s Training Clinic – Ages 5‐14. No experience necessary.
o Shawnee High School Football Coaches
Players will learn technique and skills in passing receiving, blocking and tackling
from Shawnee High School coaches. Coaches will be using the same methods of
teaching skills that both the youth and high school programs use. Methods that
focus on safety and technique, not hitting. No pads needed.

2015 Renegades Championship Football Camp


July 7-10, 2015
9:00am - 1:00pm
Youth Camp: Ages 6-12 
Team Camp: Ages 13-18

The camp, directed by Tim Gushue, Head Football Coach at Shawnee is designed to teach the fundamentals of the game to beginners, as well as, the experienced varsity athlete looking to hone his skills for the coming season. Athletes will be placed in small groups according to age, level of ability, and experience. Beginners will receive general instruction along with drills to master the necessary fundamentals of the game. Experienced athletes will be given advanced instruction and placed in controlled, competitive drills, in order to duplicate the situations most often encountered on the varsity playing field.



Director
Tim Gushue has coached football for thirty-four years at Shawnee High School, the past 32 as the head coach. He was named the Brooks-Irvine Coach of the Year in 1992, 2004 and was named the ’93,’98 & 2004 Coach of the Year by the Burlington County Times. In 2002 he was the Coach of The Year for the Philadelphia Inquirer, Courier Post and the NJFCA. The Renegades were Conference Champs in ’93, ’95, 2000, 2003, 2004, 2005 & 2010. Since 1992, the Renegades have compiled a 157-56-1 record and have been to the NJSIAA Finals in ’95, ’96,’98, and 2000. The Renegades have won State Championships in 2002, 2004, 2007,2008, 2013, & 2014..

MYAA Football and the Shawnee Renegades are pleased to offer a 7-on-7 passing and pass defense clinic that promises to be a unique experience for youth athletes. The 4 session clinic will be conducted by Tim Gushue, Head Football Coach and Gene Shulman Defensive Coordinator at Shawnee High School. The sessions will be focused on teaching the offensive and defensive positional fundamentals of the passing game including quarterback, wide receiver and defensive back positions. Each session will be fast moving including offensive and defensive group instruction and will conclude with 7-on-7 competition to reinforce and showcase the skills being taught.
This program is open to all athletes interested in developing the skills necessary to play the quarterback, wide receiver or defensive back positions.

Ages – Current 6th, 7th and 8th graders

Price – No Charge

Dates – Friday Nights 5/8, 5/15, 5/22, 5/29

Time - 7pm – 8:00/8:30pm (as daylight allows)
